About microsoft solutions partner
Microsoft launched a new set of designations for partners in October 2022, replacing the old Silver and Gold competencies. The new designations are based on the partner capability score, which takes into account performance, skilling, and customer success. To become a microsoft solutions partner, you must achieve a minimum of 70 points in each of the three categories. This is higher than the Gold competency requirements but lower than what it would take to qualify for Platinum status.
The six designations are aligned to solution areas, simplifying the program and reducing the number of metrics from 18 to 6. You can earn more than one if you meet the criteria. You may also earn extra benefits if you choose to pursue more than one Solutions partner designation. Check the Benefits guide for details.
